Campfire Headphase

Ok, so I just heard a couple track from the new Boards Of Canada album and once again not only did they give me severe goose bumps but they were probably the most beautiful tracks I have heard them produce to date. I am sure if you get music online look for "Dayvan Cowboy" ---The distorted "live" sounding drums & guitar and the uplifting tones are incredible.

This is probably the most excited I have been about music all year...

Brand New Music Hot off the Press

Well ok it's not new but I discovered the Fabio & Groverider Drum & Bass Arena CD set. I have only heard the Fabio mix and my stars, is it ever one seductive mix. There is a great combination of rhythmic vocals over rolling thick basslines. A fine option for sipping martini's and/or getting really for the night out on the town. I actually expected much more aggression but it was a pleasant surprise when I found out it wasn't.

We also received this CD at work and its a 4 tracker that says on the CD "September 27th at midnight..."
that's it! I decided to put it in and WOW, its an awesome combination of Frans Ferdinad meets Interpol in the back alley with Embrace beat up by Coldplay. I have no clue what it is but I suppose we'll find out soon enough.

The Maddness that is HMV

I haven't wrote on here in ages.. My time has been put into work the past 4 weeks. The new store is shaping up to be awesome! I have been making my rounds to the site regularly and its really how an HMV shop should be looking. Its not just that, but it's having a better HMV market share in the city. It's about time that's for sure.

It does come with a price though. Everyone has been working their arses off to make this work. If you will, imagine walking into a temp site and teaching 4-5 people on 4-5 different tasks at the same time while trying to keep the sanity of being in an old coffee shop with inadequate light and a lack of bathroom and slowly enclosing yourself in a deluge of boxes....Very sweat shop like, but in all honesty its worth it for sure. I love what I do, if I didn't I wouldn't stay.

Come hither in me noise den that is HMV...Just don't spill anything yah filthy swine.
